Just starting to build this bad boy. With all of the existing tone tweakability, does anyone think it's worthwhile to socket the diodes for different flavors?

It certainly wouldn't hurt anything, so if you have other diode combos you want to try out, go for it. Germaniums on the soft clip side? LED's in one of the hard clip positions? MOSFETs? The possibilities are almost endless.... :mrgreen:

I personally don't like Ge in the soft clipping position. It just drops the gain too much. There are two settings I wish I could have fit in there, but alas, there just wasn't enough room. LED hard clipping and 2 x silicon diodes in series for the soft clipping.
