I notice that the 27V boost has a charge pump. If a 12 or 18 volt power supply is plugged in, will it damage the charge pump?

Will 12V work? Maybe. Will 18V work? Not likely. It will depend on the chip used in your pedal. Charge pumps have a max input voltage of typically 10V to 12V. This is why you should always use a regulated 9V power supply with any pedal that uses a CP. An unregulated 9V PS typically has an output of 12V or so with no load attached. This is why they blow CP’s with a max input of only 10V.
