I'm interested in building a chorus pedal with a blend control. The Mega Chorus is overkill. Is there a way to mod one of the simpler chorus pedals?

The best thing to do is get the bass chorus and modify it for guitar. It's a simple matter of changing 2 capacitor values.

Just bought the Bass Chorus since I wanted a blend.

So for revision 1.0 of both Bass and Guitar; I compared the schematics and from them all capacitors have the same values.
Difference I can see is Resistor values around blender to accommodate for that, not that different from Mega chorus.
And R33 470K in bass/330K in guitar. In the bass kit BOM there is no 470K, but schematics tell you so.

Am I missing something?

Looks like you don't need to change anything.
