I'm dying to get more inspiration/referencing for mimicing existing pedals with the CJ.

I'm looking for settings or maybe just the clipping modes used by:
- OD-1
- Hotcake
- BD-2

Thanks!

You may get some responses here based upon other users' experiences, but now that you have your Crown Jewel working, how about doing your own experimenting and telling US what YOU find? Half the fun is the voyage of discovery with this incredible tone shaping tool!

Yes, please do. For your reference, the hotcake is just an overdriven op amp, with no clipping, so you would turn both the hard and soft clipping off. You'll have to figure out the EQ settings. The OD-1 is basically a Tubescreamer without the tone control, so set if for soft silicon clipping, and you can probably follow the same EQ settings....maybe add a little extra treble or high mids. The BD-2 is not an op amp based OD. It is a cascading JFET transistor distortion with clipping diodes. This doesn't mean you can't replicate the sound though. You can probably come pretty close by using the boost first into the main OD with hard Ge clipping. The LPB module works best for stacking as a pre-gain, IMHO. Or maybe try an "OCD" EQ setting, but change the clipping to Soft Si + Hard Ge.

Great! Thanks!

I will experiment and post results!
It's just that technically I'm not yet very educated so it's great to have some input like you gave about what kind of clipping etc certain pedals have! Otherwise there's just too many options ;-)
