What is the difference between the analog delay digital delay and classic delay. I was looking at some of the pictures of their circuit boards and the analog delay looks like it's more complicated and has more IC chips. Am I going to have more options or advantages with one than the other. What is the differences in the sounds of the delays or echoes. I've been checking them out on YouTube but I just wanted to know what you guys thought.

Thanks,

Glenn

The analog delay uses BBD chips for the delay. It requires a bit more circuitry to work. Most people will agree that analog delay sounds the best.

All the other delays we offer use the PT2399 chip. It is a digital delay chip that produces a very analog sound. The digital echo and pingpong has two PT2399 in parallel, so it can make a pingpong echo

Thanks for the quick reply. I've watched a few YouTube videos on the delays you offer and I think that my choice will be the analog delay for my next build. The circuitry in it looks awesome can't wait.

Thanks again,
Glenn

What would be the difference of the Royal Echoes components versus the other delays? Which chip does the Royal Echo have in it for its delay? I know the Royal Echo has modulation and that's a plus.

Thanks,
Glenn

The Echo Royal uses PT2399 chips for the echo plus a compander for that analog delay voicing. Pair that with tap tempo and modulation and it is definitely the most full featured delay in the lineup. It’s my favorite.
