 Post subject: Classic Fuzz Kit

Considering the Classic Fuzz kit. Can I use BC108 or 109's in this instead of the transistors it comes with?

Sure, as long as they're NPN and the gain isn't really low. there should be no problem. Make sure to check the pinout so that you get the legs in the right holes.

I recommend you get some SIL (single in line) sockets so you can test different types of transistors without committing to them. Unsoldering anything with more than two leads is no fun! BYOC is out of stock at the moment, but you can probably get them on Amazon or eBay.
