Build Your Own Clone Message Board

Just curious on how close the Crown Jewel actually stacks up against BYOC pedals its replicating.
Like, for example, would building the Orange Distortion offer more than the Crown Jewel offers when the CJ is set to the Orange settings.
I have a page from guitarpedalx.com where someone wrote a great post about how to set the CJ to replicate all the clones it’s intended to. I would paste the link if Mods say it’s ok to do here.
I guess my question is will I get more from a BYOC Silver Pony build than I could get from the CJ?
I’ve kind of become addicted to building BYOC pedals because I enjoy it so much.
Am I getting a Shredder with my CJ?

I'm not going to tell you that the Crown Jewel can "out-DS-1 the DS-1", but what it will do is to get you very close to probably 20 or 30 popular dirt boxes from a single pedal investment, and outright nail a bunch of them. Plus it'll give you hours of fun twiddling the knobs & switches to come up with your own favorite tones.

Couldn't tell you--I've never tried to duplicate that one with the CJ. Maybe somebody else here has?
