Hi,

I am looking at the circuit for the super 8 programmable looper and even though the overall design is impressive, I have the following comment/question:

The circuit uses the 5V output from the 7805 to power the buffer op amp - given the op-amp is not rail-to-rail type, this limits the buffer headroom considerably... why not drive the op amp directly from the 9V power supply (before the 7805).

A typical boss compatible 9v power supply would be quiet enough not to introduce noise and that would almost double the headroom of the buffer with minimal change in the design.

Does it seems like a good idea to you ? If I ordered one, would it be possible to modify the PCB accordingly ?

"If I ordered one, would it be possible to modify the PCB accordingly ?" If you're asking if we'll make this change for you then the answer is no. If you're asking if it's possible for you to make the modification yourself, then yes. It is possible. You'd need to cut the trace that connects to pin 8 of the op amp on the top side of the PCB. You'd then need to connect pin 8 to a 9V power trace.
