Hello!
I am hoping to get clarification on the parabolic EQ instructions that say that the snaps on the dual pot should never be soldered.

“ You will never ever solder the dual pot snaps.”
“ Do not solder the snaps of the dual pots. You will never need to solder the dual pot snaps.”

I have done two other builds that did not have dual pots.
The image on page 6 and page 7 sure look like the pots get soldered.
Also, the link and URL for the high res photo, do not appear to be working.

I am relatively new to building pedals so just hoping for some clarity. It seemed odd to me that these pots wouldn’t be soldered? If that is correct, I just cram em on in there and hope they stay?

Thank you in advance, appreciate any help.

As with the other single gang pots, the lug pins will be enough to hold them in place. You can solder the tabs if you want, but it will make it incredibly difficult to remove the pots if you should need to in the future. I'm not even sure if recent batches of B10k dual gang pots have the snap in tabs anymore.

I haven't seen them with tabs in years! But as Keith says, even if they are present, there's no need to solder them. The legs of the pots will hold them rock-solidly in place on the PCB.

Just for clarity, the "do not solder" is referring to the side clips that hold some pots to the circuit board, not the actual electrical connections at the legs of the pot. Those will definitely need to be soldered! :D
