Hey all, i recently got my echo royal working. The BYOC team were gracious enough to send me all new chips as i suspected that was my issue and now it works! :D

I love the sound, but i’m wondering if anyone has ever changed the blend knob to be a level knob instead?

Basically making it so you always have all your dry signal, and the knob controls the level of the echos. I know this would affect how stereo operation would sound but for me i’d like this way better.

I was thinking possibly just jumping the dry output to the mix output jack? Has anyone tried anything like this?

Thanks in advance!

For a delay level mod, you would

1. remove the B10k blend pot.
2. replace R18 with a 33k. You need the total series resistance of R18 and R19 to equal approx. 47k.
3. connect lug 3 of a new B50k or B100k pot to the lug 1 eyelet.
4. connect lug 1 of the new pot to lug 2.
5. pull the end of R23 that connects to R22 and connect it to lug 2 of the new pot.

Good! It's basically a digital version of a DM-2 or DM-3 now with some extra bells and whistles.
