These are some comments I already made on the 'showoff' section:
I wish I'd known that you're not supposed to solder the transistor into the socket. The instructions for other pedals make that clear, but not the triboost. I thought the transistor with it's flimsy leads would be different than IC sockets where the pins are sturdier so they stay in the socket without solder. Trust me, the transistor socket doesn't like to have a soldering iron near it.
I'd also pass along the experience that you really need to finish the case first before trying to assemble it. Lining up the toggle switch and the LED, all with the rotary switch in place, is not really difficult but it's not something you want to do more than once - paint the box, get everything lined up, then solder the toggle switch and led.
I used a piece of tape to hold the inner washer and the star washer on the rotary switch so they wouldn't fall off when inverting them to place them inside the enclosure.
The capacitors were not labeled as expected, but they were the only leftover component that were three-of-a-kind. I do appreciate the debugging of the color codes and capacitor codes on the parts list. You might want to space out the list a bit more where there are three or four parts so that you can staple the list to the side of a box and use the cut ends of the corrugated cardboard to sort and store the resistors, caps, diodes, and transistors. It worked fine but the caps got crowded.
I wish they'd included a few more colors of hookup wire in the kit instead of just one piece of green. I would up using some purple left over from the confidence boost and some of my own black wire.
