I really don't like the new arrangement, but that's probably just an old fogey's resistance to change. :(

One thing that can't be blamed on resistance to change is the white lettering on light blue button faces on the Kits page. That's almost impossible to read. :?

And IMHO, the HOME button should be on the top of the list of buttons, not the bottom.

Also, the automatic redirection to this forum didn't work. Do I need to clear out some old cookies or something?

But keep it up. I'm sure everybody else will praise it to the roof. I probably will, too, once I get used to it.

(darn youngsters [mumble] can't leave anything alone for 5 minutes without gotta have sumpin' new. [mumble, mumble])

;)

Robert

You should be happy to know, Robbert, that this current setup will likely be very short lived.

OK. That didn't take me very long. I've been clicking around and now that I'm used to it, I like it much more than I did the old arrangement. More proffessional in appearance. A bit cleaner layout. Everything looks better. Except for the white text on the light blue buttons on the Kits home page.

I was thinking that there's too many kits now to lump them into the same nav bar as everything else. I think there's like 17 or 18 kits now.

And the font on the kits nav bar was supposed to be black like the other nav bars. Unfortunately, I don't build websites as well as I build pedals.

I didn't see the short lived version, but have you ever thought of grouping the pedals by effect category, like dist/fuzz/od, delay, modulation, etc.?

I threw together a prototype site for BYOC

Check it out and see what you think

I think that it looks pretty good. Let me know what you guys think about it.

If BYOC wants the design then I'm sure we could work something out.

Thanks Cool hand. I'll stick with what I've got though. I like to keep it simple so that I'm able to update the site and not need to rely on someone else....too much.

There you go, R. I changed the font to black and I even increased the size so you wouldn't strain your eyes.

No template, although I'm flattered that you would think so. :D All CSS and my work.

I was just kidding about byoc wanting the design by the way. Actually if you wanted it you could just have it. I was just bored and changed one of my exsisting designs around. It only took me a few minutes.

I usually use Textpad for most of my html. I will either use Textpad or just plain ol' Notepad to edit the style sheets. I have used Dreamweaver and Flash for more complicated projects but usually only DB driven sites.

Thanks for the feedback guys.
