I love the new revision of the screamer kit.
This one was for a friend and I gotta say after building it I want one for myself! I have the old version but the mods I did to this one make it sounds GREAT.
I replaced the 4.7k to 2.7 for more distortion.
used the .15uf tantalums
used the 2k tone pot
Film caps
and the rest built to 808 specs. Those little upgrades are what I felt my current screamer was lacking and it certainly worked.
The best part is I didn't use the 25k tone pot so that went into my build to replace my stuffed one
.
All in all, thumbs up for the new screamer kit! (love it without the bezel too).
