Build Your Own Clone Message Board

Hi all.

I'm new to building pedals, and electronics in general. I just finished my first two pedal builds, a classic OD and an Echo Royal. Previous to these two pedals, I had recently finished a 5F1 build from a mojotone kit. As I've said, I'm new to electronics... I couldn't be happier with the way my 5F1 came out... but it was a much more challenging process than either of my BYOC kits, even though there are many more components in the pedals vs the amp. The mojotone kit came with virtually no build instructions at all. I had to rely heavily on support from online forums (tdpri), in sharp contrast the BYOC instructions were a dream. Everything was so clear and concise. After I finished my Echo Royal, I thought I may have had a problem with it's function. I used the online help chat to talk to KevinNick... he was most helpful, and went through a check list with me to confirm that my echo royal was working properly. He was very helpful and great to deal with. Now I am stoked to have two nice new pedals that I can say I assembled; they both sound and look great!

I will certainly be adding a few more pedals to my set up!
