Hi
I had a problem when I tested my second Super8:
First, I want to specify that i just want to make sure if this is something I did wrong or if it's due to a defective part, before I contact BYOC.
However I did not have this problem when I built the first Super8.

1. Two of the jacks (non PCB) broke when I pulled my patchcable out. It moght be because of the cheap patchcable I used. The pins for tip and sleeve on the inside got twisted (see picture). Has someone else had this experience?

2. One of the footswitches didn't work properly. It didn't engage at all times. Sometimes it did, sometimes it didn't. I noticed that the unit looked funny. One of the lugs wasn't at the same angle as the others. And it was 'misaligned'. Could this have been due to soldering? (see pictures)

Thanks
Tom

My guess is that the tab in the jack was bent out of place a little to begin with and inserting the plug and pulling it out again made it even worse. As for the switch it appears that it wasn’t assembled correctly at the factory.
