I cannot believe I haven't done this before; it was so much fun! I built the Analog Chorus pedal, and it turned out great. I was a bit nervous at first,
but I took my time and followed the instructions and 4 hours later I was jamming with the finished pedal. I am already planning my next build. I think I'm hooked! If anyone is interested in this, I say do it! Here are some take-aways I would recommend to a fellow newbie like myself:

1: Light! You need a very well-lit work bench!
2: A good magnifier. Those little components are very tiny and hard to read.
3: A good soldering station. Not a big deal, but if you want precision, you need a good iron.
4: Take your time. I really found this to be fun and relaxing.
5: Lay out all the components in an organized manner. I pre-sort all the resistors on post-its with their values on it and that really helped me.
6: Did I mention light? Yeah, that's a big one for me.

This is like legos, but for adults!!!

Yep, we get a lot of feedback like yours! Pedal building is fun, relaxing and rewarding. Welcome to your new addiction!

Re: the volume boost you reported in your other post, I've asked Keith to make a recommendation. Pretty sure it's just a resistor or two that need to be changed, but he'll know the best way to handle it.
