Individuality is what makes us different. I use violet in mine.

no, I mean like where you'd put the diodes in a TS-808 clone, the instructions say that some boutiqes use yellow leds instead of regular diodes. Why yellow?

Different color LEDs clip off different amounts of the signal.

does the "intensity" of the LED matter?

As far as I know the only thing that matters is the amount of voltage it takes to turn the LED ON

ok, I guess that varies by color, if not, what is an ideal voltage?

I've been searching for a thread in this vein. It would be cool to have an Overdrive/Dist with LED's instead of Diodes so they could light up in a pattern on the outside of the enclosure. Kinda like the Rick Gram Tone Zone. Has this already been done? Does anyone know?

it's been done, Leds sound very different from regular diodes, a couple of TS-9 look alikes use them, a little different sounding, might not be wat ur after, some boutiqes use yellow ones though, can't wait to give that a spin!

I tried RED and Yellow in my TS clone and yellow sounded better.
