Can someone actually who's built or knows how to build a stock BYoC TS808 and added all of the known Langraff mods please post a diagram and pictures of the "guts" would be helpful if you have them. There have been numerous requests in the original post that have gone unanswered.

Yes, I know no-one is obligated to do this. And I'm very greatful to all who've taken time to post here and help use newbs, but there have been several posts in the original thread that say I've done this mod, or you just swamp out this for that in this or that part of the circuit, or other tantelizing bits of info, just enough to make me want to do it but not quite enough to show me how.

It seems the other thread has stagnated a bit now and none of the "pro's" are reading it anymore so requests for clarifications from "Newbieville" seem to be falling on deaf ears.

Can someone please help us with simple kindergarden level Langraff mod's info so us want-to-be's Langraffers can reach tonal nirvana... please post in the original thread...

Thanks...

thing is, the landgraff is pretty much a straight up TS, the biggest mod thats going to give you different sounds is the clipping switch, which is simple.

AND landgraffs arent all made the same.

my advice would be to mess around with the crucial caps and just go for the sound you like best, and not try to copy another pedal.

Deleted my uncharacteristically smarta$$ comments. My apologies to all who read them.

Hmm... thanks for the... umm... suggestion :? please correct me if I'm wrong... but isn't "copying/modding" what this site is all about... it is afterall called Build Your Own Clone... heavy on the clone... It's not Build Your Own Design :P

The real reason I asked is I think when someone makes a few simple mod's to and existing circuit like the TS808, that they didn't design, and then they charge an outrageous price for it then cloning is fair game... $400... come on, gimme a break, from what I've seen it's a freakin TS808 with $20 worth of mods

Maybe tone it down a bit... you're not going to get any where with that approach.

I know the frustration of figuring out some modifications from a schematic, and without the help from the very good people here on the board, I couldn't have done it. Look in the Landgraff+ mod thread and you'll get a surprise.
