Hi i was wondering if anyone has a clean boost mod for the 808 clone
i was wanting to make i switchable with a toggle switch
also whats the best way to add gain to this pedal without creating more noise.
i upgarded the drive pot to a 1meg & lowered the 4.7K resistor to a 1K but seems to be really noisy now.
any tips would be apreciated.

a great "clean boost" mod is to remove the two clipping diodes, similar to the Fulldrive 2 "Comp Cut" mode. when you do this, you remove almost all gain, and replace it with pure volume. you could even use a dpdt, to switch between the two configurations (w/diodes and w/o)

Hi thanks for the info.
i did remove these but it still has some overdrive when the gain is all the way
down & wont get completely clean any other ideas ?
is there a resitor that controls the amount of gain other than the 4.7K
i though i read somewere that the 51K resistor has some effect on it or does any one have any other ideas.

yep, change that to a 22 or 10k. and you'll get cleaner.

also, change the .047 cap to .22 if you havent already, when you changed the 4.7 k resistor to 1k, you also changed the frequency response to be centered on hi-mids. changing the cap to a .22 will bring it back to normal witout losing gain, and may help with noise too. you may even like it with a .68 cap.
