Are there any mods for the Octave Divider? I did a search and didn't find any. If so, where can I find them? I found this, but he doesn't say which trim pot values he used, and I don't know where R31, R8, and R9 is on the PCB (still new here). Any suggestions for mods on this thing? I think it would be great to control the bass only volume (since it is low) and the fuzz gain.

Thanks!

Others have said the pedal adds a little fuzz. If so, I'd like to be able to clean it up.

Can anyone at least tell me how to do the mods found in the link in my original post?

R31 is the resistor labeled 823 on the PCB. Its near Q2. Replacing this with a 100K pot would be a starting point, might have to try a different value to get what you need.

R8 is a 22K resistor, a 25K pot would be a good place to start, R9 is a 2k2 so a 5k pot is where I would start.

I think what these folks are probably referring to is a bit of signal distortion that inevitably creeps in with an analog circuit with a boatload of IC stages. Not sure that anything can really be done about that. One thing you might want to try would be to replace the six JRC4558D op amps with a "hi-fi" op amp like the Burr-Brown OPA2134. But they're not cheap, as IC's go.

Gotcha. Thanks, guys. I'm putting in my order this weekend. I'll get the trim pots and maybe deal just with any distortion that comes. Hell, I probably want it there anyway.
