Is it possible to make the muff mod switchable on a stock Orange Distortion using a dpdt on/on switch?

Image

If i understand the instructions and the schematic correctly, the C3 has to be switched from 250pf to 470pf and parallel to the 470pf there should be added two parallel and reverse 1N4148 diodes and in series with the diodes assembly the C17 (100n).

So in two outer legs of the DPDT i wire the stock 250pf and connect the center lugs of the DPDT to the original C3 position on the board, but how should i wire the muff mod components on the other side?

Thanks in advance for any help!

I made a drawing with the components is it correct? Also, should i connect any DPDT legs to R25?

I’m not familiar with this mod. Got a schematic we can look at?

It is one of the optional BYOC mods in the instructions of the orange distortion at page 8, i have attached an image of the mod's schematic in my previous post. The PDF with the instructions is here: http://byocelectronics.com/orangedistinstructions.pdf.

Didn’t think to look there. I’ve never been a fan of the DS-1 and I don’t think I’ve even touched my Orange since building it. Anyway…

That being said… yes, your switch diagram for the mod is correct.

It seems to be a hate/love thing with these DS1s, i am in the second group, thought i must stop tweaking it!

Btw i don't know exactly how the board is wired inside, but checking with a multimeter i think is should reverse the connection wires on the DPDT or on the board, so that R25 first sees the C17 and not the diodes (as per schematic), like the edited attached image. Could you please confirm if it makes a difference and which is the correct way?

I don’t think it would matter but if you want to have your connections as they are shown in the schematic go by your second diagram.
