Could someone point me to where (in the forum) I can find information on modifying the classic overdrive to match the li'l modified overdrive kit? I would have just ordered it, but was too slow and it sold out.

I have tried searching the forum and my search-fu is weak. I've been able to divine that I need a 2k7 resistor, 2 .1uF caps, 1 .22uF cap, 1 22k resistor and a 1N4001 diode. But, I don't know which of the existing parts to replace.

Thanks!

JT

I would start by comparing the two schematics:

Classic OD: download/file.php?id=3732

Li'l Modified OD: download/file.php?id=8275

The schematics are also contained in the kit instructions, if you find the above images difficult to read.

Once you've determined what the component differences are, you can find their locations on the Classic OD PCB map here: download/file.php?id=3733

Here are the mod values that go in the spaces on the Classic OD PCB found here download/file.php?id=3733

R7= 2k7
C4 = .22uF
R6 = 22k
R3 = 1M
C5 = .15uF (can use film or tantalum caps. Use tant in Rev1.0. Use film in Rev1.1 simply because they will fit better)
C6 = .15uF
D3 = 1N4001 (Li'l Mod OD uses 2 x 1N4148 in series for asymmetrical clipping. You'll accomplish the same thing by using a single 1N4001)

Thank you! All set for my evening!
