Hi,

I have version 1.1, with the bandpass signal added to both hi and low pass signals.
(This gives the most transparent compression as the filter slopes are now 6dB/oct. And adding them together gives the input signal.)
But leaving out the bandpass signal can give useful results, I tried this with a digital modular synth.

First mod:
So I really would like to have a switch that can de couple the bandpass signal when I want to.

Here's the version 1.1 schematic:

The bandpass signal is at pin 8 of IC1c, it's C in the
And here's the version 1.1 pcb layout:

If I'm not mistaken, C101 and C102 connect through the plus side to the bandpass signal. And I just have to make a switch between these points.

Is all this correct?

Sounds about right. Although making/breaking at R101 and R102 may be more prudent as resistors are probably physically easier to pull from the PCB than capacitors. I seem also recall that simply lifting R202 killed the bandpass frequency completely...so maybe try that first. It's been a while since I worked on this circuit and I only learned the bare minimum about state variable filters in order to design the MultiBand Compressor, so I'm not an expert on the subject. https://sound-au.com/articles/state-variable.htm has some info you'll probably find interesting.
