I recently received my Analog Vibrato kit, and I'm planning on making both the Chorus and Tape Warble mods shown in Keith's updated schematic, but obviously I'm a bit slow, as I've been struggling to figure out how to wire the DPDT switch to achieve the intended result (the connection to Pin 6 being made in both On positions, while the connection to Pin 7 is made in only one On position).

I've come up with this, which seems to work, but is there a better way? Or have I got it totally wrong?

The red lines indicate jumpers between the pins on the switch; the blue lines indicate the internal connections on the switch in the two On positions. The three diagrams, left to right, show the switch positions: Off, On (1), and On (2).

There's more than one way to skin a cat. The way you have it drawn is not how it is in the schematic, however it will still work. "OFF" removes the .22uF caps from the circuit for "fast". "ON1" only has one .22uF in the circuit for "warble". And "ON2" has both for "slow".

Here is the mod Keith drew out when I did the chorus mod. You can read about it here (viewtopic.php?f=8&t=59510)

I don't think that I was very clear with my question, so I'll try to summarise was I think is required just for the tape warble mod, based on Keith's green annotations on the schematic:

  1. Replace C19 and C20 (47nF) with 22nF capacitors;
  2. Add a DPDT switch and two 0.22µF capacitors, wired something like this:

where the connections are:

  1. "input" (pin 2 of the DPDT) is connected to the junction of C19, C20, R28, and R35;
  2. "To Pin 6" (pin 5 of the DPDT) is connected, through a 0.22µF capacitor, to the junction of C19, R30, and pin 6 of the opamp; and
  3. "To Pin 7" (pin 6 of the DPDT) is connected, through a 0.22µF capacitor, to the junction of C20, R31, R33, and pin 7 of the opamp.

Have I got that right? (Note that I slightly adjusted the DPDT --> "To Pin 6" connection from my earlier post.)

Since I have never done this mod, I would wait for Keith's endorsement, but that looks right to me.

Yes, that is all correct. Again, your diagram still doesn't match my schematic. In my schematic, I have the two poles connected, and the two "pin 6 throws connected". But the way you've draw your diagram will still work exactly the same. The desired changes to the C19 and C20 capacitances are still the same.

I finally got time to build this kit with both the Vibrato/Chorus toggle and the Slow/Fast/Tape Warble mod -- it sounds fantastic :)

I'll post pictures once I get around to painting the enclosure (I have quite the backlog :oops: )

I'd be curious for an audio sample!
