Could someone draw me a diagram to show me how to make a 2 way switch go between 2 different capacitors?

yeah, like this. hook a wire from one pad of the circuit board where the cap goes to the middle lug of your spdt. then hook a cap to each throw. wire the remaining two capacitor leads together, then attach those to the other pad on the circuit board.

IMHO, learning how switches work is the most important bit of knowlege when it comes to implementing your own FX ideas. You don't need to be an engineer to design your own fx. All you need to know is what parts of which circuits you want to discect (that will come with time) and how to use switches to put them all back together again.

The biggest favor you can do yourself is to take your multimeter, set it to test continuity, and figure out what exactly these switches do.

I finished the wah and now it sounds great! I got a Q control (which IMO is a wah intensity control), a range control (very helpful), and a switch for the stock (.01) cap and a ceramic .022 cap, now I just gotta experiment with the thing. Now I just gotta get a fulltone pot (or are blacktop (200K)/roger myer full life (100K) better?) and some inductors to switch with, how would you switch between a fasel inductor and a Halo Replica inductor?

I'd suggest that this is actually the better way to do it.

Even better is to have one cap permanently connected, and switch the other at one end only to be in parallel with it. This does require careful value selection to get your two desired values, but is the most elegant way of doing it.

that's a good idea, but for now I think I should work on the inductors and the pot replacement.
