Bob at Bitsbox has these: http://www.bitsbox.co.uk/boxes.html (but only for sale to UK customers).

And Maplins ( ) sell these: http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=43713.

I've bought from both! :)

Many thanks grievousangel for your +1

For any of you yet to check out the shop please pop along... http://www.doctortweek.co.uk ... I have redesigned the site recently to make it really easy to find stuff you need, and of course you can still browse freely. I have also added a page for people to post their completed pedals and a place to get a free link to your page, should you be making items for sale.

Doctor Tweek attempts to provide a reliable and friendly service - you can email me and chat, ask for parts you can't see on the shop or ask specifics. If I know I'll help, if not I'll try to point you in the right direction. Delivery & communication is second to none - if I am out of something you get to know pronto and are offered a refund or hold on backorder - your choice.

See you there...and send me pics and blurb on you pedals... I also have a blog and would really like people to submit articles for it... credits, links and goodwill await :)

Just received a new batch of 20 DPDT switches from a Hong Kong seller on eBay. I've ordered from a few similar outfits in the past but have never received them vacuum packed in a tidy box  and all for £7.29 delivered:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/20-pcs-Red-Mini-DPDT-Guitar-Toggle-Switch-ON-ON-DIY-044-/110560817728?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_BOI_Electrical_Components_Supplies_ET&hash=item19bdf03240#ht_2424wt_985.

WARNING - Now, I've not used the switches in a build yet, so it could be a case of 'fur coat and no knickers'! We'll see.

+1 again. I've been using them a lot recently, as they're really well priced. Just ordered a 'Wrapper' kit which is an awesome deal IMO.

I need parts for the UK. any of those links will do.

But what is a good replacement for my mighty mouse rotary switch. i know nothing about switch specifications and data sheets. only how to solder and follow mod instructions!

i'd preferably like something thats more heavy duty and not soft plastic, though the switch lasted 3 years it suddenly snapped something inside, and now its not 'indexed'- it still changed the circuit when pointed at the right place, but it doesn't click in and instead moves like a potentionmeter.

Anyone knows where i can get suitable resistors in Australia for my OD2? I screwed one of the 1k and the mosfet mod came with 2 1m's without any 4.7k.

Would "Dick Smith" or "Jaycar" parts be compatible?
Here's the link for it:
http://jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID ... rm=KEYWORD
http://search.dse.com.au/search?w=1k+re ... 6a9&ts=new
http://search.dse.com.au/search?w=4k7+r ... 6a9&ts=new

The 2nd and 3rd own are the 1k and 4.7k but doesn't have the same color label? Do i have to get the ones with the same color label?
Does it matter?

Thanks guys your help would be greatly appreciated...
This is my 1st pedal to build by the way...

just thought i'd put this out there.

http://www.altronics.com.au

for those that don't already know, i've not used them for pedal bits yet, but i dealt with them all the time in an old job...also the AV repair guy got what he could from them.

Wow, great list of resources.
I recently used http://www.jameco.com for some solder tips. They are in SOCAL. They have 1550 and 1590 Hammond enclosures as well as electronic components, wall warts, wire, blank pcb's, and more.
I haven't seen Radio Shed mentioned. I picked up (50) 1N914 diodes for $3US from them a couple weeks ago.

This is what I use. Since I'm a foreigner I have to email the dude an excell sheet then he plugs in the part order form me. Its' a bit of a PITA, but that's the only way we could get it to work.

For those in/around Asia or willing to pay the extra shipping from elsewhere, there's Tayda!
http://www.taydaelectronics.com/

I recently started building a few clones and this was the easiest option for me considering i live in India.
I also ordered a couple of parts off some HongKong dealer on e-bay. I still haven't recieved that yet, so no praise yet.

Cheers
