Here's a Mouser link for the Fairchild JFET transistors that go in both the new and older versions of the Phaser kit:

http://www.mouser.com/search/ProductDet ... 512-2N5952

These don't need to be matched to get a proper phase shift so I'm all over them. I'm really glad these exist because I wasn't looking forward to trying to match eight good ones out of a bag of who knows how many - :)

I'm going to say yes but I'm not totally sure. That would be a good question for Keith, Matt, Kahel, or Stephen. All I know is that Keith told me they don't need to be matched and that's more than good enough for me - LOL

Does Keith use them, if not, why?

I use the fairchild 2N5952's. I used to match them, but after going though a thousand of them and never finding one that didn't match I figured there was no need to match them. Besides...do you really think dunlop/mxr does matching? The original designer must have chosen the 2N5952 for this reason.
