Bought some 1N34A diodes off ebay.....anyway i can tell if they are what they say they are....as there are no markings on them..other than the green band

All the 1N34As I've used have the green stripe on a clear glass body and are slightly longer than a 1N4001

I just got some NOS "work alike's" of that diode (they are glass with an orange stripe, smallbear has them), will those work fine for the Mighty Mouse MOSFET mod?

sorry the reason i ask is cause i have some OA91 and 1N34A and they appear to be the same on the outside...much like other diodes...can i test them to find out if they are actually 1N34A??
