not those kind of trannys, pervert!!

like, germanium and silicon trannys, for my fuzzface. just want to have backups, and i need to know where i can get some, and if anyone has any suggestions on which ones sound best. yeah. thanx!!

keep in mind that the byoc fuzz face is NPN. I suggest you get some OC140's from small bear. AC127's are kinda hard to find. BC108's, BC109's are good silicon, but any low gain NPN silicon transistor will work. Try a MPSA18 and see how that sounds.

I suggest you get some OC140's from small bear.


I got a pair from Small Bear... kinda pricey, but they sound great!

why low gain? what's the difference? what does a medium gain, or a high gain tranny sound like? i'm curious...
