...and realizing the next day that you missed ordering a cap or a resistor that you really have to have!

Happened today for me. Not the first time, either. I make detailed parts lists; checkboxes; parts counts - and still I manage to miss a part or two (or three or four).

Darn.

I refuse to buy 50-cent resistors at Radio Shack. I'd rather pay Mouser. Well, at least Mouser will ship first class mail - doesn't eat as much postage as UPS would.

Yes, it helps a lot, but nothing appears to help with the idiot working the keyboard. I've got 10 or so projects that I've populated, some of them quite lengthy. My problem is one of distraction and multitasking. I've got three windows opened to various parts places, looking for a combination of best price and availability - Mouser usually wins on both, but there are some things that Mouser seems to realy overcharge for.

Plus, I'm always having to go back and forth at Mouser trying to find the correct version of the part I need. Especially with ICs; I'm not that savvy about all the suffixes on the same part number, so I end up putting one in and then replacing it with another a little later on.

It doesn't help that after about 20 or so parts, the project manager seems to want you to put a new part in a new project instead of keeping your current one as the default. Perhaps this is just a problem with my browser settings which I've set to open a new tab for just about everything.

Oh well. I was just moaning and groaning. I'll get it all sorted out if I keep at it.
