Is there a quantity discount on pots at all?

Yes, and I am not trying to be vague, but part of the reason for the sign up sheet is to make sure we are able to hit the numbers we need to get the deep discounts.

I am shooting for about 30% off retail for the pots, but we need to move 500 to get there.

And then, we are looking at shipping discounts for gross volume of over $2,700.00.

But I have to get soft commitments for those numbers before I make firm quotes.

The more people that play, the better our purchasing power will be.

Chris

Looks like we'll get there soon. If we hit 30% off retail, my numbers will increase for the actual buy (I calculated my interest using standard retail costs to allow for additions).

I'd be cool with the 4SJK100M open mono jacks ($.65 base price). They've been good to me..

I finally remembered to add myself to the google doc! Re: jacks - the higher quality the better, IMO.

Neutriks have been the most popular. We couldn't get 500+ Switchcraft last time, but I don't care what you guys buy.

The discounts are driven by volume, though. so if people want 100 of each brand, we jusy won't be able to make the numbers.

Last time around, people agreed that Neutriks were common ground, and that is whet most people got, and we easily hit the volume we needed.

Neutriks are good for me. I'm assuming the high grade 3PDT's are the green 'Pro' switches?

Oh, and are all pots included in the buy? I may want some to be PCB mount.

Finally added my info to the google doc....All my numbers are "-ish", but I'm hoping those will be minimums, more than maximums.

I am going to crunch numbers this weekend and try to have fairly accurate dollar figures.

If we have the numbers we need to make this work, I will create a new signup sheet for firm commitments, and I will have more columns available (for specific pot values and tapers).

It's been a while since I've been around. Usually that would mean that you guys finished up "yesterday," but today must be a good day!

Signed in on the GDrive.
Thanks Chris!

Gentlemen,

The good news is, I believe we have hit the quantity and volume discounts we needed to to make this group buy work.

Now, the bad news is the Mammoth just got cleaned out of the standard 3PDT switches, meaning the only way they can fill our potential order is to sell us the high grade 3PDTs, at $2.33/ea.

I guess I need to know how much of a deal breaker this is for you guys.

So don't be shy, I need your input.

From Mammoth:

The standards would have been at $1.69 for the 300 piece price break. The Premier is $2.50 at 300 pieces but I can give you the 500 plus discount of $2.33. So it will be $.64 more per switch. But, the premier is a much better switch than the standard Taiwan. The Taiwan is rated at around 4 to 5000 click lifecycle where the premier is 10,000 and has a much better feel.

since I was only planning to get 10 stomps anyway, I guess I'll stick with that number to try out the fancy stomps. If I was ordering 25 or more, I might have cheaped out though.

^I'll tell ya what that is for me, is all the reason I need to get in on this instead of 'sitting this one out'. The premium switches for that little money... I need to get in on that!

Should I go add myself to the google doc spreadsheet or see how this whole thing pans out first?
