If I understand correctly, the color codes can vary between 1% metal film resistors and the 5%. I ordered a 3.3M (3M3) 1% resistor from mouser for the FET Preamp build and the color code is different than what is listed on the pdf. Mine is orange/orange/black/yellow/brown as opposed to the orange/orange/green/gold that is listed. This shouldn't matter since it is the exact same value, correct?

Metal film has a 1% tolerance and carbon film has a 5% tolerance. As long as it is the same value it doesn't matter. Besides, I'm not aware of too many outlets to get metal film in the 3M'ish range. I have a bunch of carbon ones and I put the same carbon one in the FET Preamp of mine.

yeah, that's fine. there are something like 3 or 4 ways they code them. the extra bands are there to get it real specific on the higher tolerance ones.

330 with 4x 0's and a brown ring for 1% is 3300000R = 3.3M
33 with 5x 0's and a gold ring for 10% is 3300000R = 3.3M
