Anyone know where one can be purchased? Can't seem to locate them.

$25  That is insane for a momentary SPST switch on a pot. But, if they are the only ones making them...

Thanks Eric. Geez. They're expensive.

I have momentary switches here. After reading reviews of the kill pot, screw that. I'll see what I can do about mounting the momentary.

I think you should modify one of these and mount it:

If you want to do a momentary interrupt kill switch, you could get one of these for like €0,25. I've installed these in most of my guitars.

Easiest mod to do to your guitar, just install it between your volume pot and output jack. If you want to do Tom Morello style kill switching (which is more like momentary activate) you need a Gibson style pickup selector switch. Which is like $8,95 on GFS.

That's HUGE! Unless you have cavity room to spare that might involve firing up ye olde wood chipper.

The photo is huge. Not the switch. The barrel is the same size as a stompswitch, I'll have to drill the guitar but tons of room. no sweat. The guitar has two volumes and one tone. I don't need that 2nd volume, so the 2nd volume becomes the tone control, out goes the old tone control, in goes the momentary. I'll wire it like a tele. (2 P90's)

got it in an tested. works perfectly, save the fact that it's normalled to be "Closed". When you push the switch, you get the signal, dammit. at least I rewired the guitar, and got rid of the annoying 2nd vol control. Now the last pot is in there, but it's dead. every bit of hardware in this guitar is headed for the scrap heap. Still love it though. :D

This is a closed switch too. How did you wire it?

Geek, when I wanted a stomp size momentary SPST (NO) for a tap tempo I used a SPDT. One throw is (NO) and the other is (NC). Use your DMM to determine the NO side. You could cut off the NC poles if there are clearance issues.

Sounds interesting, The NO side is labeled...not sure about the NC pole situation

Had it working by just interrupting either the ground, or the hot leads, but when engaged and signal cut, I get a loud ground hum.

I've learned that the switch i was using is a shorting one. I (we) need a no shorting switch. This one can't work, but got one on the way. BTW, I never wanted the switch on a Vol or Tone pot. Doesn't sound like a good idea.
