I'm not in. I still have what I need from the last one, because I went in big then to get more than I needed and to help get us some bigger numbers. So, there's that. Sorry guys.

Jacob

I'm definitely considering this... This is going to be my first group buy, just out of curiosity what would shipping look like to Canada, or Vancouver More specifically. Sorry If I've missed this somewhere.

I'd be in for 10 pro foot switches and 30 mono Switchcraft jacks.

I would be in for probably 50 of the standard 3PDT switches. The Switchcraft jacks seem expensive, even at this larger quantity. The Neutrik equivalent mono jacks can be had at quantities of 25+ for a buck (maybe $1.05) including shipping if you shop around, and they are as nice as the Switchcraft jacks in my opinion. I might be up for a discount on the Mammoth "budget" model jacks if that was an option, or the Neutrik.

Why do people prefer the Switchcraft to Neutrik, when the Neutrik is quite good quality, and costs less? Am I missing something? Looks like the price on the Neutrik at 4SiteElectronics is about a buck for quantity, plus shipping. Clearly the Mammoth generic budget jacks are not as beefy as the Neutrik or the Switchcraft, but the price is much less also, and they seem to work well.

I explained my take on it earlier in the thread. It's by no means definitive, but I am not fond of the way the Neutrik's are designed. It's more of a friction fit than a true leaf spring socket with a proper breakover, which I consider to be a poor design. Usually, friction fit designs don't last as many insertion cycles, but I have no idea if that is the case here.

Their enclosed jacks, on the other hand, work quite well are even less expensive. Go figure.

Hey Riff Raff, i've purchased the second lot down, and were very dissapointed with them, don't bother IMHO. They look decent enough in the photos and are cheap as chips, but are flimsy bits of shit, that are unuseable.

I'd be in for at least 50 pro switches and 100 mono jacks (but only if Switchcraft is an option)

$1.36 each for a jack hmmm I may have to reconsider

I'm with Riff here, I don't have a problem with Neutric, and they can be had at BLMS for .73ea.
Maybe Switchcraft are better, but I can't see them being that much better, sorry.

Just my opinion of course, but ... the switchcraft ones really are that much better. They fit better (the nuetriks have always felt a little tight to me), the flanging is better, and even the material holding the jacks together is better. They're worth every penny as far as I can tell.

I'm in for 25 mono jacks and may be able to go higher, but only if they're the switchcrafts.

I'm in for

10 premier switches
20 mono switchcraft jacks

I use Nuetrik jacks now and want to see the difference since a few of you feel pretty strongly about it.

Just in case my commitment is ambiguous, 50 switches and 50 of those damn-fangled Switchcraft jacks. :D

I would like to be able to place the order next week, and I agree that the sooner, the better.

yeah, I have 3 3PDT's left. the sooner the better. I wouldn't want to push anyone, but I'm of the opinion we get the order in the system by next friday.

Can one of you Braniacs start a Google Drive Signup Sheet?

I am having a heck of a time getting one formatted, mostly because I do not know what the heck I am doing.
