It's neither - it has a taper that resembles an S curve. Often called w-taper. Said to be close to the one Ibanez used in the TS.

What do you need it for? If this is for a TS, several people have reported better results by replacing the tone pot with a 2K pot...

How is the pot wired, voltage divider or series resistor?

The simplest solution in this case is to make an A20k pot by adding a resistor in parallel lug 1 to lug 3 on a log pot of a higher value. So, got any spare audio log pots floating around?

unfortunately no. and fry's only carries 10k or 50k. pooty. i can order a 25k from mouser, cuz smallbear also only carries 10k or 50k and nothing inbetween. but i'd rather get one local, so i can have my pedal back up and running as soon as possible.

33.3k. Believe it or not, that's actually a standard value. But a 22k and a 10k in series will get you close enough, if you have some of those.

"have i told you lately that i love you? have i told you there's no-one else above you? you fill my heart with gladness, take away all my sadness, troubleshoot my pedals, that's what you do."
