Last time I ordered decal paper, I got it from Small Bear, but I am looking to snag something a little quicker, so preferably Amazon Prime eligible. I use a black and white laser printer for my decals.

Suggestions?

I've always used Papilio decal stock and been very happy with the quality & service. I only used inkjet waterslide stock, but I know they make laser printer stock, too. And I believe you can get it through Amazon, though I always just ordered it directly.

As it turns out, there's almost nothing on Amazon that is Prime eligible, just a lot of 3rd party sellers and unreliable looking products. So I guess it's back to SBE for my paper.

Why not go directly to Papilio then, Scott? First rate product quality and customer service, in my experience. And you're dealing directly with the manufacturer, not a reseller (though nothing against SBE).

Fair question. Two reasons. I like ordering one or two sheets at a time, and also I figure if I'm going to pay $6 for shipping some sheets of paper, I might as well get a few other pedal building parts at the same time.

Clearly Scott, you are not building enough  (says the guy who hasn't built a pedal in a year) I used to order 50 at a time from Papilio.

I'm having great results with just glossy photo paper, glue stick, inkjet printer and some clear coat.

Labels by the sheet seems to be a good resource. Just ordered some water proof sheets. I'll let you know how they work out. The come recommended by madbean.

Any decent hobby shop is going to have some Testors blank decal stock if you need it fast and don't want to pay a lot for shipping.

Hi,
I am wondering if there are any turn key services that will print a digital file on decal stock and send you a completed print. I have a laser color printer which I use for Black and White document printing. I would like to use decals but do not want to invest in lots of color toner etc.

I followed some of the links here and got that impression that a local copy shop laser printer may be too hot to run the decal paper through the feed without causing problems.

Thank you.

Hi,
Thanks for the link. I have been aware of general purpose online label making services, and can also visit a "Fast Signs" store in the city located nearest to my home, but I was specifically hoping to find a print service that works with the Papilio Laser Jet water slide decals mentioned here.

Last night I found a person on etsy.com that appears to offer such a service.

I think I will start with that and see how it goes.

Thank you!!!

VFE used to do full color printing...not screen printing, but some sort of CNC ink printer that printed directly on the pedal. They did one-off custom orders for DIYers. Looks like he isn't making pedals anymore, but maybe you could get in contact with him and see if he'd do a print job.

Hey Chongmagic, did you ever use those water slide decals? Did you like them?

My source, Papillo, has discontinued them for us small fries they told me. They will do a large run for a large customer.

They work well, you just need to make sure you apply the enamel and let it dry thoroughly
