Hello!!!! I just bought a resistor kit from amazon that has 25ea of 17 common values that just happen to cover the resistor requirements of my Lil Gray OD kit that i recently fried the board on :( (i tried to fix a few cold solder joints from the top on accident and the multi miter read 0 on most pins of IC chip.) No worries!! I have ordered a new parts and am ready to give it another go as I had a great first build learning experience. I got the pedal to almost work on my first attempt, but I didn't have solder flowing all the way through the eyelets and idiotically tried to flow them from the top of the board.

My question is... The kit I bought has all the right values and is 1% metal film but they are about twice the size of the resistors that BYOC sends. Does that matter? I only spent 10 bucks on the kit and would rather have a bulk source of similar size an quality of what I got with my kit when BYOC is out of stock on the values i need. I think the parts I bought will fit, but it looks like I will have to bend the leads much closer to the resister to get them to sit flat on the board.

I hope everyone is soldering I mean have a Merry Christmas! :D

The physical size generally correlates to the wattage rating of the resistor; bigger usually means higher wattage. The Li'l Gray OD kit comes with 1/8W resistors, and it looks like what you bought are 1/4W, accounting for their larger size. They will work just fine, but may be a tight fit. Shouldn't be a problem with that kit, because there's a lot of open space on the PCB with only 10 resistors to install.

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply :) I just re-read through the product description of my resistor kit and it appears they are listed as 1/4 watt. I didnt even notice! Thank you so much! Ordered Ltvystore 2425pcs 97 Values 1 ohm - 1M ohm 1/8W Metal Film Resistors Assortment Kit Assorted Set https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MDJQ1II/re ... aEb96G9RKK instead :)

The bigger pedals typically fit 1/4 watt, the smaller ones are 1/8 watt.
