Hello all,

I'm aware of the rules about providing photos and I will do so soon but before I do I have a quick question, and I also would like to try re-flowing any suspect joints at least once before I give up and post a picture. Anyway here's the state of play:

1. After first finishing the build I had bypass signal, LED working, but only the "dry" side of the signal from the pedal (i.e. Ratio all the way CW was silent)
2. Initially I suspected maybe the BA6110, and as an overseas user it was easiest to just order a couple of spares on Ebay and try one of them - no difference
3. Then I noticed I had accidentally interchanged R9 (470k) and R23 (47k) - damn Red/Orange! I managed to desolder and replace these with a fresh pair the right way around this time... but it still made no difference

So my next port of call was going to be to very carefully examine all of my joints and reflow/top-up any that look iffy or starved, and then check some transistor voltages against those posted... However it occurred to me that it'd be worth asking first - would interchanging R9 and R23 and powering the pedal have likely blown any of the components? I'm more than happy to keep troubleshooting but it'd be nice to have some faith that I'm looking for a bad joint that can actually be found!

No, it wouldn't.

Your plan to inspect/re-flow your solder joints is a good one. If that yields no improvement, we'll need to see those photos....

Good to know, thanks for the response :)

Hopefully I'll be back to say that everything is okay, if not I'll have some high-res photos

Hey again, it's been a while but as ever life has gotten in the way slightly... although I'm happy to say that I've gotten the pedal working!

One bit of minor feedback I guess is that when I initially tried to check continuity around the circuit with my multimeter I got rather confused by one section (around R29 and R30) because the rev 2.1 board doesn't quite seem to agree with the rev 2.0 schematic in the linked instructions (at least to my eye) - in particular there are two pairs of resistors connected directly on the board (like a shared eyelet/very short trace) but one of those pairs is shown as not being directly connected on the schematic...

Anyway after re-flowing the majority of the joints the pedal is now working - quite a relief!
