Hello all, first time builder here.
Finished building the Lil echo but I have 2 issues.

1) The "repeats knob (pot)" doesn't work when turned either way. It pedal (when engaged) just has one delay. As in repeats just once after the original signal.
2) There seems to be some white noise on the delay knob (pot), but only when the pot is at 7 and 8 oclock. Once the pot is turned past 9 (clockwise) the white noise goes away.

Other than that everything else works. Although I do find the pedal slightly noisy, but that could be me not wiring it up properly.

I will post some pics later today.

Thanks.

The repeats not working is a poor solder connection, either at VR2, R21, or C16. A scratchy pot is almost always a sign of some sort of grounding issue. It may not be with the pedal itself. It could be with some other piece of gear.

Did you reflow the connects that I mentioned?

I did the resistor. It seems ok. I put it on a multimeter and it measures 21.9k on both sides of the PCB.
As for the capacitor, was trying to get it unsoldered and removed but the one side broke. I have a feeling it might be the cap because the side that broke is all crusty at the solder point.
So know I have to track down another cap.
There's an electronics store in town. I'll see if they have one.

By the way. There are no leads soldered to the Delay pot. I had to undo them to get to R21 and C16.
I've had to solder and desilder those pots so many times now. Ugh.

You should cut down the leads on your solder joints as well. Those are shorts waiting to happen.

Here are some tips for you:

Always reflow your solder joints when you have issues: http://www.byocelectronics.com/board/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=52188

This is what the bottom of your PCB should look like: http://www.byocelectronics.com/board/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=52211

Thank Morgan. That really helps.
I can't believe I soldered the leads to the jacks and pots after putting them in the enclosure.

Replaced the cap today and resoldered all the pot and jack leads. It didn't make a difference. Here a vid of what's going on. Also what I meant about the "white noise" that only comes in on the "delay" pot between 7 and 9 o'clock.

Ok. So I can't upload a video but I'll add a link to it.

Here's a pic of the oversized cap I had to buy.

Sorry, I’m a little confused. Are you getting any guitar signal through the pedal.

It does. The pedal is passing sound. The mix pot works, the delay pot works. It's the repeats pot. It only delays the sound once.
I sent a link to a video of me testing the pedal.

Have you tried this when the board is out of the enclosure? The reason I ask is that there are a lot of little pigtails poking through the solder joints that need clipping. When you push the board down into the enclosure, those sticking-outies could short against something. I would clip them to the top of the solder joint.

Yes I have. I trimmed the solder joints too. I'm going to check all the resistor values in the next few days.
When you say "reflow the solder", do you mean to use desoldering braid to get the solder off and then resolder with new solder? Or just reheat the solder that's already on the joint?

Well. I think the issue might be the 100k repeats pot. I desoldered the leads from it and put it on the multimeter and there was no reading. The other pots tested fine.
Should get a linear or logarithmic one, or does it matter?

Linear. Contact BYOC and they'll send you a replacement.

Happy to say that BYOC sent a replacement pot. Installed it today and everything works like a charm now.
Thanks all for the help.
