Subject says it all, when i turn it on it works fine. when its off no sound passes through. pls help.

I would suggest double and triple checking your wiring on the foot switch. The good news is that the bypass signal path is pretty simple, and you've got the hard stuff already working.

^ This. Lack of bypassed signal, particularly when the effect signal works, can only be a few things. Troubleshooting tips: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=52785

I would start by checking the soldering of the lug 4/lug 9 jumper on the footswitch, and then check for continuity between lugs 8 & 9 in bypass mode.
