I just finished building the lil echo kit. when I hook it up I'm not hearing the effect at all. the LED is on and signal is going into it yet when I click the pedal on and off I hear no difference. had knobs up full and still nothing. rechecked all my connections and I don't see anything that indicates a bad connection. any ideas? thanks!

Can you post pictures of the front/back of the PCB?

Please try reflowing all of your solder joints on the PCB. You've got a few that look a little cold. Let us know if that fixes it. If not, we'll take some voltage readings.

Detailed guidance for that process here: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=52188

Thanks for looking at this for me. I added more solder to each joint and it still didn't help.

Please take voltage readings of the TL072 and PT2399. Let us know if you need help with how to do that.

And just in case you do:

To measure the DC voltage level on the ICp pins, set your multimeter to the DC voltage mode, indicated by a solid line above a dotted one. Use the 20VDC range setting if it's not an auto-ranging meter. Your power source needs to be connected and there needs to be a cable in the input jack. If the pedal is assembled into the metal enclosure, put the black probe into one of the corner screw bosses of the enclosure--this is your ground connection. (If the "guts" are out of the enclosure, use the sleeve tab of the input jack for the ground connection.) Then touch the red probe to each point that you want to measure. See left side of the image below for the numbering of the pins.

Those voltages look good. Your dry signal path is working fine, so I would assume there's still a cold solder joint or something wrong in the wet signal path. Did you reflow the solder on the level pot and its wiring as well? Do you have a signal probe?

So I might have figured out the problem. The board under the level pot was very brittle and part of it completely broke off. Can you tell me exactly which pots these are on the website so I can order another one?

Just email sales@buildyourownclone.com and we'll send you a replacement. Just make sure to mention that it's the 12mm version, not the 16mm.
