I bought a finished BYOC delay from a gentleman from another forum. The repeat seem to be stuck on one repeat only no matter where I turn the knob. Even at zero it still gives me one repeat. What could be wrong with it. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi Bart,

When the repeats knob is set to zero (fully ccw) - it should only give one repeat. If it's still only giving one repeat when the repeats knob is turned up, there is probably a short somewhere - either on the board or in the wiring.

Does the delay knob adjust the length of that repeat? Does the blend knob adjust the wet/dry mix? Are you using a battery?

If you just got the pedal, I'd suggest having the gent who sold it to you fix it. If that's not possible and you have some building skills, post some photos and we'll have a look at it.

Thanks for the reply, Sir Morgan. But I've returned it to the seller and have been refunded already. I made a short clip nonetheless:

No matter where I turn the knob, the number of repeats remain the same.

Boy that's a nice sounding circuit - isn't it?

Glad it worked out.

My money is that there was a short in the feedback pot against the board. I had a lead that poked through the board and was just barely touching the pot it was mounted to (the feedback pot) and basically gave me the same result. I about pulled my hair out when I noticed tiny scratches on the back of the feedback pot and figured out what was happening. Trimmed the lead down with a pair of clippers and problem solved.
