After a long time of debugging (lifted some traces etc.) I finally got my Vibrato working, well everything works great except for the ramp switch.
The thing is: I always get the vibrato effect when the effect is turned on, even when the ramp switch is turned to on and likewise only a clean signal should be passed through. I checked all the wiring around this part of the circuit and everything is wired as it should be. I also reflowed all the solder joints and checked for continuity with my DMM, all seems fine.

So currently I hear no change in effect when switching the ramp switch, what should I start looking for first? Apparently it has nothing to do with the wiring of the ramp-circuit because both switches are fine, the connections are fine, etc.

Just for a better understanding of the problem, as I see it now the ramp switch connects directly to ground when ramp is off (which it does on my VB-2) and when the ramp switch is in the on position, a connection with ground is only established when the momentary pushbutton is pressed down, which my vibrato does as well ... why do I still get vibrato then?

All help is greatly appreciated, I'd really like to finish this wonderful effect.
Thanks,
Nils

Seems like this person has the same problem (http://board.buildyourownclone.com/viewtopic.php?t=8027)
Check that topic to find the solution to this problem, I'll check out to see if it works for me, thanks.

I *think* that the board is touching one of the wires from the on/off switch on mine. I'm going to see if this is the issue and report back. It's grounding somewhere...

Have looked like crazy in the meanwhile for the small component that has to be shorting out to ground somehwere apparently but haven't found anything yet ... Measured everything with my DMM and got no continuity to ground, and I checked every component starting from Q14 in the schematic so nothing on the board is shorting out. Does anybody have a clue where I might look for problems now?
