I recently purchased a pre-built analog chorus from an individual and noted that the rate doesn't seem to have any effect until it is at approx 9 o'clock. I did a search and found the following thread:

It appears that I may have the same problem. Can someone tell me what to ask for specifically at an electronics store to get the correct capacitor. I see it is a 2.2uf tantalum cap. When I looked online there appeared to be various voltage ratings available but none matched what appears to be on my cap. My cap has 2.2-25 (25V?) and online I have seen 16V and 35V.

I appreciate any help I can get.

Any cap rated for at least 16V will work. However if you run your effects at 18V you'll need to use caps with a voltage rating of at least 25V which is the usual next step up from 16V rated caps.

This link tells about solving a problem by changing (a damaged) cab.

Is it possible and easy to test cab's before soldering them to a pcb?
(it's better than to trace all kinds off problems afterwards, i guess...)
