Hi, this is my first build, and I'm having trouble. When I turn the pedal on, the LED lights up, but there's almost no sound. At first I thought it was absolutely no sound, but when I turned my amp up to almost max volume (and sensitivity to max), I can hear a quiet, fuzz tone. I'm not sure if it's something I did wrong (considering my first time soldering a PCB) or if it's the issue I've read about with the counterfeit JFET. Here are some pictures

Thanks for the help.

Edit: Sorry for the extremely large pictures. I didn't expect the resolution to be that high with a camera phone. I'm not sure how to make them smaller.

The overall quality of your soldering and wire dressing is quite poor. I would recommend setting this project aside to take a little time to develop your soldering skills. Check for tutorial videos on YouTube. Take a look at these threads for build tips….

Agree with Stephen's assessment of the solder quality. But I have an additional question: Did you try dialing in the trimpot as described on page 9 of the instructions?
