Just built myself a filter.. paint didn't turn out so great.. but anyway.. the kit came with 2 diff resistors for the sweep.. so could i use a dpdt on-on to switch between the 2 resistors?

Something like this

1 2 (820k resistor; stock)

3 4 (connected to pcb where the 820k used to be)

5 6 (1M resistor)

Thanks!

Yup, check out the Boost Mod on The Famous Beavis Audio mods diagram posted by "Tonefreak" about 1/2 way down the page...

actually.. was thinking about something on my way to classes.. is it possible to place a potentiometer (something like a B100K pot perhaps?) in place of the stock 820K resistor to change the sweep (something like the 'Q' knob on the EHX Q-tron perhaps?)

Yes, you could do that, but you'd want to use a 1m pot, not a 100k pot.

oops.. lol.. didn't realise i posted the wrong value.. wanted to say 1M.. so i assume that using a linear pot is right..

hmm.. can i just double check something?

when connecting the pot to the pcb.. only solder lugs 1 and 3 are used right? and does the positions matter?
