Hi,
This is my 3rd BYOC build.. a failed Classic Overdrive and a working Wah-wah. Im an electrician so I have a good grasp on most of this stuff but Op amps/transistors and the differences between some capacitors I know only what I've researched. Im building this lazy sprocket for my father for christmas (cutting it close I know...) who decided to pull his guitars out of a 6-7 year retirement. I completed it in 2 sessions. first doing the PCB, second doing all the components.

Plugging it in I got a clean guitar tone when bypassed and a lit LED when engaged. Turning the pots or trim pot yield no crackles or nothing. Im using a Tele with a single coil and a hum bucker through an Old transistor VT head and custom made speaker with celestion speakers. When The LED is on I feel no excess heat on any of the transistors/caps/IC.

a couple of my suspected area's of the problem are here:
-Is my 9V jack correct? I don't use batteries So Im not putting in the battery snap.. Is there something that would affect the way The 9v adapter works? I don't really understand the 1 - terminal and 2 +terminals for the Tip/sleeve barrels but I just assumed they are the same and 2 just for convenience
-Is the yellow film cap polarized?
-Is my tantalum cap in correctly? Solid Line with a + = positive lead?
-are the 2 brown film caps polarized?

I just finished resoldering a new LED (To make sure I had polarity right,) resoldered a few wire leads and double checked the entire parts list to ensure things were where they should be and in proper polarity.I can't see any bridging either. Im confused and a little discouraged. Help a brother out! Im handy with a multimeter so any of those kinds of suggestions I welcome. I just don't even know where to start.

Pictures to follow//Thanks in advance

Brown film caps are non-polar, as is the yellow cap.
One of the two + lugs on the dc jack (innermost) is for the battery, it is disconnected when the barrel of a dc jack is inserted, so the battery and power supply aren't on together.
If you've got the led illuminating you're getting power to the board, so it's safe to assume that the dc jack is wired ok.

The soldering on the stomp switch is poor. Reflow it and try to get smooth shiny joints. The centre lug is the effect board input wire, and that joint looks particularly suspect.
It's good practice to trim the component leads on the back of the board as flush as possible too.
