Hi there.

I've recently finished a Lazy Sprocket build, with the following issue. When activated, I get a strong note which quickly chokes, and then a swell. I've played with numerous combinations of settings, while adjusting the trimpot, and that's the best result I've gotten. Any hints? I suspect I'm just not setting things properly, but after a few days of tweaking, I'm pretty frustrated.

I've done several other BYOC builds, this is the first really problematic one.

Thanks.

Hi There -

The LS can be a little tricky to set up because all the pots interact. Try this:

  • put the SENS knob at 9:00 if you have humbuckers, a little higher with single coils
  • turn the SWELL knob all the way clockwise
  • make sure you guitar's volume knob is all the way up
  • make sure the LS is first in your pedal chain
  • start with the trim pot at center
  • mute your strings, then play a single note and let it ring - you should hear a pretty good swell
  • adjust the trim pot for longest swell, least volume cut. Shouldn't be too drastic a change, depending on taste

If you still can't dial it in, post some pics and we'll see if we can spot an error in the build.

Mike
