My question is if the byob Envelope Filter & Fixed Wah would work on my bass? Or can i do anything to make it work better to bass?

*edit* does anybody know how this would work with an active bass?

I suppose you could double the value of the filter caps to move the 'centre' of the filter down by one octave, but in practice the filter has a pretty wide sweep range anyway. Likewise you might want to increase the value of the envelope follower cap to cope with the lower frequencies from the bass.

An active bass should be fine, if anything it will provide a more powerful and cleaner signal to drive the EF.

As shipped the manual filter control is useless - it ships with a log pot whereas what is really needed is an anti-log pot in that position. The frequencies and range of the manual control are limited to about that of a standard wah wah pedal.
