So, My second build after Amstrong Twin.
When I first built it, it worked, didnt really sound great but I figured that was because of the trimpot-settings. I dissembled it and did a paint job, put it back together and the next time I tried it, it didnt work.

I've re-soldered all the outboard-cables and even touched up on every solder-pad.
I've check all the components and they are on the right spot.
So I'm beginning to think that I might have broken some tiny part.

Whats the next step in troubleshooting? I have a multimeter at home but I dont know how to check with it :P

Any suggestions?

Please tell me its just a stupid routing mistake... :)

Apart from anything else that is a very dirty build - the back of the PCB is smothered in little balls of flux and there could be the odd bit of solder perhaps shorting things out. Not sure how you managed to get so much flux splatter - if you are using flux cored solder perhaps it has adsorbed a lot of water.

Get some isopropyl alcohol and an old toothbrush and clean all that flux off.

I tried to fix it but I don't know alot about this stuff and my soldering skills are slim to none existing.
It's still not working but perhaps I need to fix some solder pads, I don't know.

Anyway, here is a pic after the cleaning. Is it workable or should I just throw it away?

If it was working before you took it out, chances are that you have an outboard wiring issue. The best way for us to help is if you could provide shots of the switch wiring, pot wiring, power wiring and jack wiring. The one shot that's there does not show enough detail. One more thing, the board looks better cleaned, but it would be good to snip all those leads to the top of the solder joint and not leave any poking up.

*EDIT* Also, what do you mean exactly by 'it does not work'? No signal when engaged? LED does not light up? Etc. etc.

If you have a multimeter you could check to see you have 5.6V across the zener diode D4 and that you have 1/2 the supply volts at the junction of R15 and R16.

Its working!
I de-soldered all the outboard wires and cleaned the jacks and switches with isopropyl, soldered everything back into place and put on some shrink tube aswell.
Must have been some bad joint somewhere.
Anyways, thank you! I learned alot from this pedal and I wont be as sloppy next time :)
